DrupalCon San Francisco: The Palantir Track

by Larry Garfield

The results are in, and it looks like Palantir will be all over DrupalCon San Francisco, which kicks off in just under five weeks.  Nine of us will be on hand to spread the Drupal love (and some great swag) everywhere from the stage to the Birds of a Feather (BoF) room to the hallway. Here's the low-down on the Palantir track:

Databases: The Next Generation by Larry Garfield
Just in case you hadn't heard, Drupal 7's database layer has been totally gutted and rewritten to be modern, powerful, flexible, and all kinds of awesome. Drupal 7's database maintainer is back with the likely most geeky-kitch session at DrupalCon on how to leverage the new database layer in your own code.

Ten sessions, and that's not even counting BoFs or the Core Developers Summit. (Yep, we submitted stuff for that, too.) And of course Drupal Association Board members Larry Garfield and Tiffany Farriss will be on hand at the Drupal Association session Wednesday morning where you can talk directly to the people who work behind the scenes on the non-code boring stuff to keep the Drupal community humming.

If you don't think you'll be able to keep track of it all and stalk your favorite Palantiri, follow us on Twitter for updates or stop by the Palantir sponsor table, too, to meet up with everyone above as well as George DeMet and Robin Barre.

We'll catch you on the trolley.
