Party, party, party!

Palantir has had much to celebrate of late and many people to thank for it. So we threw a party!

We wanted to welcome folks to the new digs, introduce some new faces and thank our friends, family, colleagues and partners for their support and encouragement. Fun was had by all and we've got the pictures to prove it!

Obviously, it wouldn't have been a Palantir party without a little Wii Guitar Hero or a little Drupal breaking out. Special thanks to everyone who left us a message on the chalkboard wall and to our neighbors Vosges Haut Chocolate who brought some to share.

So in the lead up to and aftermath of such celebrations, I was completely remiss in not officially welcoming the newest members of the Palantir team: Sam Boyer (sdboyer) and Greg Dunlap (heyrocker) on the programming team and Elliot Vernon as our beloved intern.

Sam works with Palantir a couple days a week when he isn't otherwise engaged with his other Drupal work or activist causes. Although relatively new to Drupal (heck *my* d.o number is lower!), Sam wasted no time in becoming a huge Drupal master and contributor. Sam is known as the co-maintainer of Panels and maintainer of Organic Groups Blueprints.

Greg joins Palantir from The Seattle Times, where he helped develop Web-based database systems in PHP/MySQL. He has also developed several modules for Drupal with a focus on the ways in which Drupal can be deployed in enterprise environments (see Deployment!).

While we were all partying in Chicago, Greg was busy working to make Drupcamp Seattle a success. Be sure to check out the session video from his talk on Deployment.

Elliot is hanging out with us for the summer before heading back to NYU in the fall.

I look forward to tackling the challenges ahead (Wii, nerf, Drupal and otherwise) with the newly expanded Palantir team.

(Does that make it time for another party?)

Party?

(Does that make it time for another party?)

Yes. Yes it does. :-)

Congratulations!

The new office looks awesome! A very nice environment to work in for sure.
Now, if I lived closer to Chicago… :P

congrats on the new office (and another reason to party)

I think you should throw a party because John Albin works at Palantir and everyone knows that he is the coolest and deserving of his own party.

ps congrats on the new office space. I'm jealous.
