We’ve been looking forward to DrupalCon Copenhagen for so long, it’s hard to believe that it’s less than a month away! In addition to all the sessions, training, code sprints, and other great content you’d expect from an international Drupal conference, this year's European DrupalCon should also be one of the most fun yet; as mortendk, one of the conference's organizers (and bona fide Drupal rock star) puts it, this August 23-27th, something will be awesome in the state of Denmark.

Palantir’s contingent to DrupalCon Copenhagen will include George DeMet (gdemet), Tiffany Farriss (farriss), Larry Garfield (Crell) and Ken Rickard (agentrickard). As usual we’ll be presenting and participating in a number of sessions:

  • Drupal 7 isn’t quite out yet, but a number of core developers, including our own Larry Garfield, have already started thinking about Drupal 8 and beyond. Drupal: The Next Generation is a session that will talk about some of the ideas that Larry and others have been working on to help re-invent the platform to make it even more powerful and flexible than it is already.
  • Ken Rickard is bringing a touch of Rousseau to the proceedings with his panel on Drupal Rights and Responsibilities. This session will bring together a group of different community members (including a couple of other Palantiri) to provide both a high-level overview of the Drupal community’s social contract, but also some practical tips on how best to interact with different kinds of people in the community to help ensure the success of your Drupal projects.
  • Tiffany Farriss will appear as part of a panel discussion on Managing a Drupal Consulting Firm, along with several other folks responsible for running Drupal-oriented Web development companies.

And, of course, both Tiffany and myself will be on hand to make some exciting announcements about DrupalCon Chicago 2011.

If you’re going to DrupalCon Copenhagen and want to say “hi”, we’ll be around during the day or enjoying an after-hours beverage at the conference’s fooBAR. And if you’re not yet going to DrupalCon Copenhagen, it’s not too late: tickets are still available!
