As Palantir's founder and one of its CEOs, George is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction for the company and helping support its values and vision. Along with Tiffany Farriss, he's helped high-profile corporate, educational, cultural, and nonprofit clients develop effective online strategies for over twenty years. George is an active open source advocate who serves on the Advisory Board of the Drupal Association and works to help maintain a friendly and welcoming community for the project. He’s helped organize many open source community events and is a frequent speaker at conferences and other industry events.
The thing George loves most about his position at Palantir is the fact that every day he works alongside an amazingly talented group of people dedicated to helping others create and share knowledge online, and using the web to promote humanity. If he could only watch one movie for the rest of time it would probably be "2001: A Space Odyssey". He has been fascinated with the film most of his life, and despite having seen it countless times, he always finds something new on every viewing. One of the very first websites he created back in 1994 was a 2001 fan site, which still exists to this day: https://2001archive.org. George’s favorite Wikipedia article is: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hodag. The Hodag is a mythical beast who is also the official mascot of his hometown: Rhinelander, Wisconsin.
